Diversified Medical Staffing are hiring LPN's to provide skilled in-home care in Rockford, MI. This part-time opportunity requires ability and passion for providing exemplary skilled-care in a home setting (vent experience preferred, but training is provided).
Job Description
The LPN will provide skilled professional nursing care to the patient as prescribed by the referring agency and in compliance with regulations as established by the State Board of Nursing and policies of DMS.
Desired Education & Experience
·         Current State of Michigan Nursing License with no restrictions
·         Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
·         Possesses and maintains a current CPR certification
·         Minimum one (1) year relevant experience or training preferred
·         Must have the ability to communicate effectively
·         Reliable, insured transportation with a valid driver’s license
Essential Duties
-Maintains the confidentiality of patient and employee information always.

-Instructs patients and family about various medical conditions according to the scope of care.

-Records patient’s present medical history and symptoms.

-Administers treatments and medications as prescribed and according to the plan of care.

-Assists patients and their families in managing client’s illness or injuries.

-Contributes to an existing plan of care, including:
·         Administering medications
·         Carefully checking medication dosages and avoiding medication errors
·         Administering therapies and treatments as prescribed

-Observes and reports significant changes in the patient’s condition and home environment to DMS Clinical Coordinator.

-Reports potential risk for injury, abuse or neglect of patient to the DMS Clinical Coordinator.

-Adheres to organization’s documentation and care procedures, standards of personal and professional conduct, corporate compliance plan, and agency performance improvement plan.

-Adheres to universal precautions in accordance with OSHA regulations.
