ProMedico LLC, in partnership with Diversified Medical Staffing (DMS ) has an opportunity for a bilingual (Spanish/English) NP or PA to provide full time care in an on-site health and wellness clinic located in Shelby, Michigan. ProMedico’s mission is to bring episodic primary care to the workplace for the employer, employee, and their families. By providing immediate access to primary care, ProMedico is promoting the concept of health and wellness in the workplace. In addition, the clinician will target high-risk employees who can benefit greatly from care in the on-site clinic, as well as provide strategic programming, targeted reporting, and general wellness initiatives by promoting healthy employees and community.

 

What an Advanced Practitioner can expect from this position:

  • Function in an advanced clinical role providing clinical services. Comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments will be used to promote health, prevent disease, and diagnose and manage common acute and stable chronic disease. Medical oversight provided by a local medical director.
  • Documentation in a care management system for all patient encounters.
  • The freedom to communicate freely, discuss concerns with management, and the choice to go above and beyond in serving the employer and the patient.

Minimum Requirements:

  • MS - masters in science of nursing or physician assistant studies.
  • Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
  • Active licensure in Michigan or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Bilingual - Spanish/English
  • National certification from an appropriate credentialing body.
  • Phlebotomy skills are strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will exhibit several of the following characteristics:

  • Be accustomed to working in an autonomous environment.
  • Have a background in primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine.
  • Trained to always “put patient care first”.
  • Be action oriented and solution driven.
  • Be passionate about implementing life-saving, quality enriching solutions.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based applications and electronic medical records.
  • Background in wellness and behavioral consulting is a strong plus.
